Lepidothamnus fonkii, as well known as dwarf cypress, is a beautiful small conifer (10-50 cm height), native to Chile and Argentina. This species grows closely related to Sphagnum mosses and other cushion plants like Astelia pumilia and Donatia fascicularis. It’s habitat are almost every type of mire, expect the geogenics. In Chile, it is therefore found the Regions of Los Lagos, Aysén and Magallanes.
